Have you tried this with oils? I work in oils also, and I'm wondering what would happen if you mixed the paint with enough water to create bubbles with the soap. The oils should adhere to the soap and not the water, yes? However, this can't be used as a background for acrylic paintings. Oils breathe throughout their lives (which is why they get all brown after hundreds of years ... oxidation). If you cover oil with Acrylic, the oil will suffocate and the acrylic will peel. The rule is Oil over acrylic, NOT acrylic over oil. However, as oils are used in glazes, you could put oil paint bubbles over an acrylic painting. Hmmm ... I'll have to try! Thanks for the inspiration!

I love, love, LOVE that you just go and do and whatever it is it is!. This is a technique that's been used on bisque clay for many decades. However, for the bisque, paint is put directly in the water with the dish soap and then foamed with the straw. Lift the colored bubbles off of the cup and place on the bisque/paper/canvas. Voila! Easier than placing paint on the bubbles.

It’s a happy little mistake finally the embossing on the stamping! The background has very beautiful colors that goes very well with the gold embossing. the bookmark is also nice with the fairy, but I think I prefer ATC Have a good weekend Asia

I love the effect you can create with the elegant writers of Speedball. L❤ve also the fact that they are dye based inks. I don't think that you can get the same effect with elegant writers containing pigment inks. Never tried it.
